One livid dawn, a cold and damp wind blows as a man walks alone through the darkness. Deputy Police Superintendent Francesco Prencipe (Scamarcio) is on his way to meet his best friend, Judge Giovanni Mastropaolo (Boni) whom he hasn't seen for almost two years. Andrea Zaccariello has been working as a director in Italy since the 1990s. Before moving into feature ﬁlms, he worked extensively in advertising, directing commercials for companies such as Lavazza. He wrote and directed a number of short ﬁlms, including the ﬁlm Gioco da vecchi, which won Best Director at the Nastri d’Argento awards. In 2013 he directed his ﬁrst feature ﬁlm, Ci vediamo domani.
